Life-Centered Praxis Retreat Application
Portland, Oregon (April 24-26) | New York City (June 12-14)
Thank you for your interest in our 3-day practice lab. This retreat is for local organizers ready to practice new ways of navigating conflict and building community beyond dominant culture patterns.
Before we gather in person, we'll meet online for three pre-workshops that establish shared frameworks for our practice together: Transformative Organizing (recognizing dominant culture patterns), Inner Development Goals (connecting personal growth with collective liberation), and Dialectical Thinking & Historical Materialism (understanding change as a dynamic process). These workshops happen before application decisions are made, and payment for pre-workshops applies toward your retreat fee if accepted.
Donations are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, A Well-Fed World (501(c)(3) nonprofit).
Who we're looking for:
We're prioritizing BIPOC, Queer, and Trans activists, organizers, and advocates from different movements who are based in the retreat location or surrounding region. We seek people ready to unlearn harmful ways taught by colonial systems and experiment with new ways of relating.
Space is limited to 20 participants per location. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You'll hear from us at least one month before the retreat date you're applying for.
